Villa Monastero
The workshop will take place in the beautiful and historical setting of Villa Monastero in Varenna (Italy) directly on the shore of the Como lake (http://www.villamonastero.eu/), 70Km away from Milano.
How to reach Varenna:
By plane: from the airport of Milano Linate: take shuttle bus to Milano Centrale (about 20 min). From the airport of Milano Malpensa take the train to Milano Centrale (between 40 and 50 min depending on the train see train timetable). From Milano Centrale take a train to Varenna see below.
By train: from Milano Central Station take a train to Sondrio/Tirano direction and stop in Varenna-Esino (1h 03m). Trains leave at 8:20,10:20, 11:20 (change train in Lecco), 12:20,14:20,16:20,17:20 (change in Lecco),18:20,19:20, 20:20. For tickets and timetables go here.
By car: from Milano take the road toward Lecco (SS36); when you get in Lecco pass through a long tunnel under the city. At the end of the tunnel you can:
1) exit at Abbadia Lariana/Mandello/Varenna and follow the road along the lake (S. Prov. 72). This is a panoramic road (about 1 hour to Varenna) or
2) alternatively continue on the SS 36 and exit at Bellano. Descend from the hill, in Bellano turn left toward Varenna (about 20 min to Varenna).
