We are combining mathematical and physics based model with more traditional biological experiments to study cancer. We have recently devised a model of cancer stem cell population dynamcs to study cancer growth and senescence and compared the results with experiments. We are currently studying by mathematical models and experiments the role of cancer stem cell markers, the mechanics of tumor growth and the mechanisms of cell division.
